Natalia Roberts born and bred in Detroit, Michigan where she split her time between going to an all International Baccalaureate high school, competitive figure skating and running in the junior olympics for track and field. Natalia was accepted with a full-scholarship to Washington University in St. Louis to study architecture in the fall of 2009. After promptly getting injured in track, Natalia laid off the athletics for a semester concentrating on her studies. While rehabbing her injury Natalia began participating in school-sponsored cultural dance performances. That spring she performed in a production of Midsummer Night’s Dream, where she got a chance to work under the school’s resident choreographer, Cecil Slaughter. When the show closed he asked her to join his company as an apprentice. Natalia had fallen in love with dance. In her junior year Natalia switched her major from architecture to physical anthropology so that she would have more time to devote towards dancing. Upon graduating in 2013 Natalia moved to NYC where she completed the Peridance pre-certificate and certificate program in Ballet and Contemporary dance.
Natalia is currently a company member with the Caterina Rago Dance Company and Nazmo Dance Collective. Over the years has performed work by: Charlotte Öfverholm, Robert Battle, Cheryl Copeland, Tony Bordelo, Francesco Dario & Michele Oliva, Danielle Kipnis and Violet Sound. She has performed in numerous immersive and interactive theater works by The Night Circus, Minute Zero, Journey Lab and Makeup Forever. In 2016 Natalia was selected as a Mare Nostrum emerging choreographer; her work as been shown at LPAC, The Tank, Peridance, The Craft and Spoke the Hub.
